Introduction Chemical, health care and consumer care companies wish to be less dependent on fossil raw materials for their products. The transition from fossil to renewable raw materials is making these industries more sustainable. The theme of the biannual Bioenergy and Biorefinery Conference - Southeast Asia 2018 [16 -18 May 2018] organised by the BioEnergy Society of Singapore (BESS) is Sustainable Production of Molecules. This conference aims to be a platform for forging multi-party collaborations and technology integrations. We invite experts in the relevant fields to join us to showcase your challenges and latest technology breakthroughs. Through this conference we hope to bring together individuals from both academia and industries who are interested to share and learn the potentials and challenges in R&D technology commercialisation, sustainable development in industries. Awards will be given to top posters selected by an expert panel. An optional Technical Tour [18 May 2018] to some major R&D centres in Singapore is also available. Conference Topics include:

Abstract Submission If you are interested in sharing your experiences in BESS Conference on Sustainable Production of Molecules 2018, please submit an abstract of your presentation and biography using the Abstract template and submit it to Dr. Geng Anli at gan2@np.edu.sg.There will be both poster and oral presentation sessions. The Conference Scientific Committee will select abstracts for the oral presentations. Abstracts not selected will be put in the poster session and are eligible for poster judging.

BESS Achievement Award 2018 In order to recognize the importance of bio-energy and bio-based chemicals research, Bioenergy Society of Singapore (BESS) has created BESS Achievement Award 2018 to award excellent and innovative lead researchers and industrial professionals. This prestigious prize awards excellent projects presented in BESS Conference Sustainable Production of Molecules, 16-18 May 2018. The call for nominations is open until 1 May 2018. All conference participants are entitled to nominate yourself. If interested, please fill the nomination form and submit it together with your CV (no more than 2 pages) to Dr. Geng Anli at gan2@np.edu.sg by 1 May 2018. Please note that the deadline for early bird rate was extended to 16 April 2018. In addition, additional fee will be charged by Eventbrite. No early bird rate for students.
Hotel Accommodation and Conference Venue Participants may choose any of their preferred hotels in Singapore for accommodation. Participants are to make their reservations directly with the hotels. However, for your reference, the following hotels are close to the conference venue.
